I think it’s vital to have dated some losers in your life if you’re ever going to truly value a good man when you find them. In many ways, I feel sorry for people who find the love of their life in their teens. They don’t go through the years of searing heartache, misery and self-loathing that dating losers can cause, the years that the rest of us go through. And without those years, how can you really appreciate how good that man is when he comes along?
