A heavy weekend
I’ve got a heavy weekend on. Let’s run it down:
Tonight, going to see Chekhov’s A Provincial Life at the newly renovated Sherman Theatre in Cardiff. It’s a National Theatre of Wales performance, and I’m going to be filming it for a documentary I am currently making.
Tomorrow, I’m attending my friend Lincoln’s album launch at my old workplace, Catapult Records in Cardiff, and filming some of that - plus interviews with him and the Hospital Records boys. (Lincoln is the drum’n’bass DJ High Contrast btw…).

Sunday I’m off to Bristol to see Mark Lanegan at the Academy.
Busy weekend! To prepare, my research:
Research:
- A Provincial Life on NTW website
- interview with Chris Goss of Hospital Records
- Mark Lanegan
Sounds high tech, eh, I’m actually equipped with a handheld flash cam, an audio recorder, and a tripod. The less equipment I have, the less wrong things can go. Truth.
I better scoot. Doors are at 7!
