Today, I was very busy.
I walked the dog at 9am.
I went to Sully with Shane, and our friends Caz and Huw in search of a non-existant car boot sale.
We replaced that car boot sale with a walk along the beach at Swanbridge.
We all then went to Splott, still in search of a car boot sale. I found a sunday market. but no car boots.
Third time lucky - we all headed to Bessemer Road. Result! I bought an aviator hat, a mint plant, a pair of curtains and some old Avon pottery for the kitchen.
I nipped over to Asda to pick up a film I’d dropped in to be developed (only costs £3 to have it put on CD! bargain). I also bought another bottle of gin to top up the sloe gin I made yesterday. Then I drove to the Pump House where Shane, Huw and Caz were, and had a cup of tea with them.
Then I went home, dropped Shane off to nurse his hangover, packed my bags, and headed to Pontcanna to pick up Adam Chard, a fellow hackflasher. We drove to Splott to meet Darren Floyd, a writer and artist who is participating in We Are Cardiff. We found him outside an abandoned church on Splott Road. There was a stairway down into some deserted darkness, which I promptly stomped down into - and found an amazing open basement to the church, completely abandoned, and looking pretty dangerous. We took some photos - coming soon…
Adam and I then drove over to Cathays to set up a photoshoot for hackflash with my friend Eleri - the theme - urban teaparty. Photos for that coming soon.too.
Adam Chard went home - so I went to Cardiff Arts Institute for my friend Adam Corner’s all time top 100 tunes, and danced with balloons with Tim and Eleri.
I dropped Mr Corner and Tim off in Llandaff for the Fairplay festival, which I never made it to this weekend.
It’s fair to say, I am absolutely knackered.
For your enjoyment: a photo I took with my holga in Cardiff on Friday afternoon - a girl reading in the small memorial park behind the new Cardiff Museum (the old library in the centre of town).
Night night
