Today was a good day....
Actually, despite some quite shitty stuff happening, I’ve had a mega productive few days. A breakdown is necessary, for my own peace of mind…
-Thursday afternoon, got crafting with my buddy Leanne and we made handmade Xmas cards at her house (followed by sushi at Tenkaichi in Roath. Mmmm, sushi);
- Friday afternoon I finished off the last chapter of the Lady GaGa biography that I have been working on since August (vital stats: 60,000 words, and due out in February)
- Friday night, went out to Shot In The Dark, drank some nice ale, saw some friends
- Saturday, ordered a new washing machine to replace the one that blew up last week, received a court order through the post for £15k from some cowboy ‘no win no fee’ solicitor firm in Oldham (called Mulderrigs, I suggest you avoid them if you ever come across them in real life), tried to start work on a new book I’m writing about JLS but actually spent the whole day freaking out;
- Saturday night - went to a friend’s birthday party at their house a few streets away from where I live. I wasn’t really in the mood after the whole court order thing, but went anyway, had a great time, and didn’t end up leaving until 5am Sunday morning.
- Sunday, cooked the biggest stew in the world, and worked a little more on the JLS book;
- Sunday night met up with my lush friends Sally and Joe, and we went to watch Kasabian at the Cardiff International Arena, in well-blagged VIP balcony area on the top floor (not very VIP though, bloody dripping all over me, though apparently I was sitting next to Stuart Cable from the Stereophonics throughout the show – he’s the one with mad hair who looks a bit like a travelling minstrel);
- Monday, finishing off the JLS book, sorted out my robe hire and photos for graduation in January (one hundred bloody pounds for a coat and some pictures!!!), ordered more dog food, and sent Orion Publishing a photo of my mush for them to use in their catalogue.
Now, I am about to apply a facepack and drink some ale, then let my brain coagulate right up, reeeeeal nice.
